Summer is coming - Are you Ready?

With the 80’s upon us, the nights warming up and the desert as green as ever, one thing is for certain, summer is coming.

Some of you may be dreading it, others may be excited but whatever your preference, it is coming and coming quickly. During the hot summer days in North Surprise, there are a few things to consider in regards to your home, your comfort and your safety.

1. Your Air Conditioning

In 2021, just 9 months after we moved into our brand new home, we learned a lesson and that lesson how important your Air Conditioner is to your home, especially in summer! Our upstairs unit failed and was not blowing any cool air, just warm stale air. Thankfully the downstairs unit was still working but needless to say, no one in our home slept good that night.

We called Taylor Morrison, who referred us to Chaz Roberts, who installed and “warrantied” our AC system. We were told it would be two weeks before they could come and fix the issue. Now, some may wait, I choose not to. I hired an independent AC company to come out and they had it fixed and running within 2 hours.

Long story short, the culprit, for us, was a capacitor that was installed by Chaz Roberts. It failed causing the condenser to not create cool air. We had both capacitors replaced and since then, we have yet to have a problem.

Before the heat rolls in, get your AC units checked to avoid a very uncomfortable day or night, or longer! It’s a very fair expense giving the benefits and necessity for cool air in our warm summer days in the desert. I have been using Gilbert at Cool Pro Heating and Air Conditioning and recommends him to anyone who asks. He is honest, thorough and trustworthy.

3. Backyard Living

One key thing I have noticed is that the pricing is so much better now, compared to in May. The second the weather hit’s 100, so do the prices!
